......Increased Production

Focus F250 New Printing Line

Atlas has been busy installing a new printing line in our Leicester factory.

This new addition is the third production line which will add to our existing 4.5 million metres of heat transfer paper production.

This extra machine will allow us to service clients better by stock-holding regular designs while at the same time maintaining our service levels to all our other customers.

Wider Production Width

Traditionally, Atlas have produced all our heat transfer papers at 160 mm wide using sophisticated Swiss printing machinery to create quality designs and consistent colours.

The new machine now extends our printing width to 250 mm which will give greater hourly production and will help maintain production prices at their highly competitive levels.

Uni-Papers

We are now printing uni-papers in 160 mm and in 250 mm widths. Please contact our sales office for more information.

......New Studio Installed

Design Studio Atlas has installed a new studio in our factory replacing the outside bureaux that we had used for many years.

This investment has allowed us to work more closely with customers and reduce our production lead-times through greater control.

More of our transactions, designs and prototypes are now transmitted over the Internet reducing the 'distances' between us and our customers.

......New Product Developments

Atlas has worked closely with several manufacturers developing new applications for the sublimation transfer products.

Sportswear

In the sportswear industry we have worked with Adidas, Le Coq Sportif, Umbro, Speedo, Nike, Diadora, Hummel and many more.

With Speedo we created special insert trims for performance and fashion swimwear, this included converting their fabric into stripes that we could print. This opened up a new area of business in fabric converting - a service that we offer to all European customers.

Woven Labels

Our uni-papers are a well established means of colouring woven labels as an alternative to colour beams or dyeing.

Now, several customers are exploring the use of transfer prints in combinations with woven designs and textures. This combination provides another dimension to the label construction making it more exclusive.

Faster Delivery Times

With new laser engraving suppliers we are now able to offer faster delivery times for all laser engineered work.

This state of the art origination process allows us to produce fully continuous images, greater tonal effects and very fine line detail.

The laser process etches the desired image from the hardened rubber covered roller.
